It’s called the “Buddy System.” You watch my back and I’ll watch yours. It’s a system that is used when people find themselves in heavy or intense combat during a war. They’re surrounded by people who want to kill them.
When we travel alone, it can feel like we are surrounded by people who want to kill us, rob us or take advantage of us in some way. Well, maybe not. However that feeling of insecurity is always on our mind when we travel. Security is number one.
When we travel, sometimes two heads are better than one. What I don’t know, maybe, my buddy will know all about it or have a better idea too. It’s good to have somebody to talk to about different things that come up.
Traveling alone has its benefits because you can do what you want and when you want. But hitting the road solo also means you can’t share a taxi fare or spit the cost of a family style meal or share a sunset or other pleasant event.
Thanks to the Internet, finding the right travel buddy or someone with similar interests and travel plans has become easier and more secure.
