The sleepy little fishing village in the bay known as Pattaya is changing more and more every year. Pattaya has gone from a very small fishing village to what it is today. It is obvious to every one of us who live here that Pattaya is going to become the gem of Southeast Asia because of the sun, sea, sand and sports (both indoor and outdoor sports). The weather is always good, if you like warm and humid weather. The people are fun and friendly, as long as you don’t insult them or fight with them or cheat them. It’s a safe city but watch out for the traffic and where you walk and don’t go around showing off your money or gold and jewelry. The food is clean, safe and healthy but watch how much of the spicy food you eat. Thailand is known as the “kitchen of the world”. Thailand is fanatical about safe and clean food.
More and more tourists are coming to Pattaya every year. Many people return to Pattaya every year and some have chosen Pattaya as their retirement home.
Real estate is growing especially condominiums. It is very hard to find a condo in central Pattaya. Condo prices in central Pattaya have started to rise and it seems that it will continue no matter what happens because these world events are temporary and the good things of Pattaya are here forever.
The exchange rate is very good and the Thai government is going to keep it that way. The Thailand economy is booming. Thailand wants to become a “first” world country. Thailand is fighting illegal drugs, poverty, human trafficking, money laundering, copyright infringement and other things. Thailand has plans to increase education for the people.
Everybody has different experiences when we travel. Sometimes a person can experience a city and see only the dirty or ugly things and sometimes that same city, when seen from a different location or time can seem like the ideal city. Think about it this way. Thousands or maybe tens of thousands of people from all parts of the world have found our “Paradise in Pattaya”.
Pattaya is small. It is more a small town rather than a city. It is growing slowly but surely. Someday soon it will be a real gem. Maybe, it’s something you should think about. This is your opportunity to get in on the beginning of something great.
