How can I begin to tell you how great a hotel this is when there aren’t enough words to adequately describe what happens to the lucky few who stay at the “ Penthouse ” hotel? I discovered the hotel on the www in 1998 when I was researching a place to retire. I studied Thailand and found Pattaya. I needed a hotel and after I found the web site www.penthousehotel.com I studied it completely and made a reservation on line. Pictures speak a thousand words but even pictures can’t show you all that is available to you at the Penthouse Hotel, and Pattaya City. Words and pictures can’t capture the care and love the owner and staff bestowed on me. The owner and this staff were a wealth of information and experience. I became a long lasting friend. I am retired now and have moved to Pattaya and I visit the hotel daily for their 99 Baht breakfast and then I read the newspaper. I take diner in the restaurant because it’s the highest quality and it is prepared the way I like it with no msg. They use vegetable oil. It is healthy. The produce is fresh and hand – picked at the local markets daily. I am a semi – vegetarian but on occasion I will treat myself to U.S.A. T – bone steak special while I watch TV on the huge TV.
Some guests return many times. One guest has been coming back to the hotel for 11 years. We travel long distances for many hours from all over the world just to get to this hotel. There are movie and TV stars, captains of industry, politicians, techno – geeks, leaders of society, professional people, highly successful people, rich and famous people and ordinary, hard working citizens, such as myself, a clerk. I work hard, save money and we flock to the Penthouse Hotel from all parts of the world. Just like homing pigeons to the roost.
Why? You ask. The owner and his staff became my hotel manager, my protector, guide, teacher, advisor, mentor and guru. Ask questions and listen and learn. Let yourself go and experience a holiday of a lifetime. It can magically, mystically and mysteriously change your life for the better like it did mine. How could a simple hotel do such things? Well, my friends read on.
This is your to experience. I will give you one small insight by trying to describe the baby Lon suite. Go to Thailand and find Pattaya and the “ Penthouse Hotel “. Take the elevator to the top floor and now stop. Slowly open the door and let your eyes draw you across the threshold and step into another world. This suite is out of this world. It is not a normal hotel room. It is a sound and light show with you at center stage. It was designed with you in mind. No detail was overlooked anywhere. The beds, the Jacuzzi, the bathrooms, the music, the balconies, the mirrors and TV are everywhere plus, there is a glass door stocked refrigerator, snacks and supplies. Next to the bed and in the bath – shower rooms. There are several television sets and with closed circuit transmission from the club that is on the ground floor next door. At the end of the hall and through the arched double doors leads to roof garden and the 8 person Jacuzzi with waterfall, palm trees, plants, flowers, sun lounges and BBQ for parties.
The rooms can be prepares with a buffet for large parties. Night-lights and under water lights, they have thought of everything and the details will please you.
The hotel is located in the heart and soul of Pattaya and South East Asia. It is that mystical, magical and mysterious place that you've read about somewhere but you can’t believe it exists. This hotel is as sensuous, exotic and beautiful as a woman and tall, dark and handsome as a man. This hotel saves me time and money by not having to travel to events or things to do because everything is within walking distance or a short ride away. It is the heart of Pattaya or a short trip ride to an almost deserted Island.
Food is available everywhere I went. First, there is an ample supply of snacks next to the bed in my room. Second, there is a stocked refrigerator in my room. Third, they have 24-hour room service and they will cater the small parties that I like to have in my room. Fourth, the dining room and kitchen are small and intimate. I can inspect the kitchen and staff from the dining room and I received the attention of the restaurant manager, two cooks and one or two waiters and waitresses. They were always there for my every need while I enjoyed the meal. I could ask for anything and they always had it. Look at the menu on their web site. It is very extensive. Broaden your horizons and culinary. Fifth, the club has a free buffet on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday evening. Plus, they walk around the club and bar handing out free finger sandwiches. There are snacks on the bar. Chavis Regal is 69 Baht.
Some people because of the name of the hotel misrepresent the hotel. The Penthouse is an old hotel that has been in Pattaya for many years. They want to get away from the sleaze of the world. The Penthouse means top floor. It is pure luxury and opulence. Do not judge a book by its cover. It is staff and secure in the heart of Pattaya’ s nightlife. It is a sanctuary. It is centrally located and convenient to everything. It has quick and easy access to everything of any interest, North, South, East or West. The hotel caters to holidaymakers of all tastes and life styles and languages. This hotel satisfies my expectations. Their motto is “ freedom with discretion”.
Experience by trying new and different foods from South East Asia. Tantalize your taste buds.
There are numerous different styles of rooms to satisfy your every need or desire. If you need cheap, they have cheap. If you want luxury and opulence, they have it and more. I found that after a very long flight I had jet lag and really only wanted to sleep. They have a room with no windows. It was the best sleep I have ever had because there is no light to tell me what time of day or night it was, and it was very quiet with perfect air conditioning too. After a couple of nights of great sleep, I upgraded to a party room.
When the fun and excitement get to be too much, then I excaped to an almost deserted Island called Koh Larn for peace and quiet. It is a very short walk to the pier and only 40 Baht round trip by ship. There are about seven beaches but I like the gold cape on the sunset side of the Island. The gold cape will provide the beach chairs and umbrella. The penthouse Hotel provided me with a picnic lunch and a guide. WOW! What a relaxing day we had on Koh Larn.
The Penthouse Hotel is the best of both worlds. Life is grand at the Penthouse Hotel. I loved staying at the hotel. It improved and changed my life. It relieved my stress and pain. I forgot my troubles for awhile. My mind, body and soul became more relaxed and invigorated. I changed my outlook and views. I now have a more open mind. I see things differently. I have my views and experiences. I have experienced an awaking and I am a new person. I am different from the day I entered the hotel. The Penthouse Hotel made the holiday. I worked hard and saved money to treat myself to the luxury, opulence, fun and excitement of the hotel. Don’t cut expenses here. I needed to get away from the rat race and pollution of the big City and go to the shade on the beach. Pattaya and the Penthouse Hotel are now my second home.
