The Dining Experience fit for the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire
The first and only Turkish restaurant in all of Thailand has come to Pattaya. It is called . . . . . . “A La Turca” Turkish Restaurant. It is located in the Market Shopping Plaza, which is across the street from Alcazar on 2nd road. They open at noon.
For those of us who didn’t know, Turkish cooking has evolved since about 1453, which was the beginning of the Ottoman Empire. The wealth of the Sultan was from the international trade along the “spice road” of that time in history. The super rich Saltan brought the very best of food to his table. The cooks competed to please the Royal palate of the Saltan. The people learned to appreciate his taste in food. The cuisine that the Sultan created has been enjoyed by the world ever since. This Turkish cuisine has developed and survived for generations and it is now available for you at “A La Turca” Turkish Restaurant.
Everybody loves Turkish food. It is healthy too. I promise you that if you only try this once, you will love Turkish food. Some of the recipes include yogurt salads, (Oh wow! You got to taste this) I don’t like fish but you got to taste the fish in olive oil. I love it. Try to imagine stuffed vegetables and vine leaves or syrupy filo dough desserts. Oh my! This is so different and so good and it’s good for you too.
There are way too many other culinary delights for me to describe. You must discover them for yourself from the menu at “A La Turca.” This is a “must do.”
