So, there we were. A few friends and I had just spent a fascinating evening touring the nightlife of Pattaya. Now we were hungry and it’s after midnight, I wanted some type of bacon and eggs breakfast to soak up the suds that I had drank. One of my friends just wanted a sandwich and Big Bill usually eats a complete water buffalo at one sitting. He eats a lot. Then, there were our Thai girlfriends, who wanted to eat Thai food.
Rosie O Grady’ s on soi 7, came to our rescue. After looking at the menu, I decided on scrambled eggs on toast ( 50 baht ) and a side order of bacon ( 30 baht ). It was perfect. Good – time Charlie found eight sandwiches to choose. He choose an egg and bacon sandwich ( 60 baht ). Big Bill could not decide between the two eggs, two sausages, chips and peas ( 160 baht ) or the full dinner of imported pepper steak with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and two vegetables ( 440 baht ). He decided on the first one but said he asked the waitress about the pepper steak and was told that it was first quality tender fresh and imported. The Thai ladies had seventeen items from which to chose. My girl friend chose rice noodle soup with chicken ( 100 baht ). It was huge. Big bill had a small Guinness ( 150 baht ). The rest of us drank Budweiser ( 160 baht ), coffee ( 30 baht ) and I drank water.
Rosie O’ Grady’ s is a class restaurant. It is an Irish Pub that made me feel at home. We noticed the 5 TV screens. The owner said he has two TV systems going at the same time for those times when Premier ship Soccer fans want to watch both games that are being played at the time. The owner also said that he shows all major sporting events. And on those huge TV screens, can you imagine Rugby, Grand Prix, Snooker, Darts or Boxing events? The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat and the roar of crowd could be heard live at “ Rosid O Grady’ s ”.
The night I was there, they were showing a music concert. There was a mix of international tourists at the bar and in the restaurant. I think that’s because Rosid O Grady’ s has a reputation for quality.

After a fun evening in Pattaya and a great meal, Mother Nature called and we visited the “ Lo “ or rest room. Now, why bring that up? Well, like the restaurant, it’s class. It’s air-conditioned and tiled. It’s five star. Came goes for the rooms for rent. Rooms are enormous, huge, big, extremely large. Do you understand? Ha ha ha rooms are available ( 550 baht ) including a safe, king – size bed, TV, refrigerator and air conditioning, of course. Rosie O Grady’ s Restaurant has everything you need, including great quality food, happy hours, ( midday to 7pm and midnight to 2am), very nice extra large rooms with everything, major sports and DVD music.
